Facts and context

Facts

A Fact is a note that 1667 can include in a model request. Use Facts for characters, places, items, and rules.

Press f to open Facts. Press n to create one. The name identifies the Fact in the list. The body contains the information that 1667 can send.

Facts stay in the project with the story.

Fact activation

An always Fact enters each continuation and rewrite request.

A keyed Fact enters a request when its key matches recent story text or the current instruction. Add short names or phrases as keys.

Open the advanced rows in the Fact editor to set activation, keys, priority, and token budget.

Facts on one story line

A Fact can change at a story part. The change applies from that part along its story line. Another branch can keep the earlier text.

Open the actions menu on a story part to create a Fact there. Add another Fact State when the information changes. Add an End State when the Fact no longer applies.

The context meter

The context meter shows the size of the next model request. It includes story text, Facts, instructions, and the expected response size.

Leave more room when the count is estimated.

The request viewer

Press Ctrl+R before a model request. The request viewer shows the selected model, messages, Facts, token counts, and context window.

The request viewer does not show credentials.
